Dangers of Plastic Bags
Are plastic bags really all that harmful? Or is it just another scare from the tree huggers? Let's look at the facts:
- The average US family uses 60 bags in 4 shopping trips which is 380 Billion bags (just in the US) annually.
- Plastic Bags and packaging account for the major part of the waste in our landfills.
- Plastic bags are the common man-made item found out at sea - Marine Conservation Society
- Plastic bags take 1000 years to decompose - This is why our landfills, rivers, oceans, lakes, beaches, sewers, cities, and neighborhoods are filled with them!

- California estimates a cost of $10,000 to recycle 1 ton of plastic bags that only yield $32 in value.
- Plastic Bags use petroleum to make them AND more petroleum to get rid of them...Millions of barrels each year!
- They are ranked the #1 Most Dangerous item around the world at sea and land.
- Over 100,000 animals a year are killed by plastic bags

Power of Promotional Products
– 71% of business travelers randomly surveyed at DFW Airport reported receiving a promotional product in the last 12 months
– 33.7% of this group had the item on their person – a coveted location for advertising

they had received in the past 12 months
